Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Prawns

Peel and devein the prawns, leaving the tails intact if desired.

Step 2: Heat the Pan

Heat the olive oil and butter in a large pan over medium heat until the butter is melted and bubbling.

Step 3: Sauté the Garlic

Add the finely chopped garlic to the pan and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, but not browned.

Step 4: Cook the Prawns

Add the prawns to the pan and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until they turn pink and opaque.

Step 5: Add the Wine and Lemon Juice

Pour in the white wine and lemon juice, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce is slightly reduced.

Step 6: Season and Garnish

Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.

Step 7: Serve

Serve the garlic prawns immediately with lemon wedges on the side.

Tips

  • For an extra kick, add a pinch of chilli flakes while sautéing the garlic.
  • Serve with crusty bread to soak up the delicious sauce.
